Great news! We’re extending pool season into September! ☀️

For the first time ever, we’re excited to keep the pool open into September! While our September schedule will look a little different from August, we’re thrilled to continue offering opportunities to enjoy the pool, including lap swim, water aerobics, and a day of open swim each week.

We’re so happy to be able to give our community a little more time in the water this year! 💦❤️

SUNSET PARK CLOSURE NOTICE
Sunset Park will be closed on the following dates for maintenance to the parking lots:
📅 Thursday, August 27 (limited access)
📅 Friday, August 28 (limited access)
📅 Tuesday, September 8 (limited access)
📅 Friday, September 11 (full closure)
📅 Saturday, September 12 (limited access)
📅 Sunday, September 13 (limited access)

Estimated closure time: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM each day

During these closures, the parking lots will be patched, crack sealed, seal coated, and restriped.

For everyone’s safety, and to allow the work to be completed properly, no vehicles or park users will be permitted in the park during these times.

Please plan accordingly and avoid the park during the scheduled closure periods. See the map below for the areas affected.

We appreciate your patience while we make these improvements to Sunset Park!

🌧️ Rain & Flash Flooding Potential – Please Use Caution

The Town of Wickenburg is monitoring the potential for an active rain event this evening and into tomorrow. With recent rainfall already saturating portions of the area, washes and low-water crossings may be more prone to rapid runoff and flash flooding.

Residents are encouraged to:
• Use extra caution while traveling
• Avoid flooded roadways and low-water crossings
• Never drive around barricades
• Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown
• Stay alert for changing weather conditions

Please plan ahead and travel safely. Any emergency alerts or evacuation information from the Town will be sent through Genasys Protect.

🚧 UPCOMING STREET MAINTENANCE & REPAVING – WICKENBURG 🚧

The Town of Wickenburg will begin scheduled street maintenance in several areas beginning August 24, 2026. Work will include pothole patching, crack sealing, slurry seal, chip seal and fog seal treatments.

• Sept. 14–15 – Slurry Seal
• Sept. 28 – Chip Seal
• Oct. 5–6 – Fog Seal

• Oct. 6 – Fog Seal

📍 N MADISON AREA
• Aug. 24–26 – Asphalt Pothole Patching
• Sept. 3–4 – Crack Seal
• Sept. 16–17 – Slurry Seal
• Sept. 29–30 – Chip Seal
• Oct. 7–8 – Fog Seal

📍 LEWIS ADDITION
• Oct. 1–2 – Chip Seal

🚗 Residents and motorists should expect temporary traffic restrictions and possible delays while work is underway. Please use caution around crews and equipment and follow all posted traffic-control signs.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.
