🚒 IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN — WFD HYDRANT TESTING IS UNDERWAY! 🚒

Beginning tomorrow, June 3, 2026, the Wiggins Fire Department will begin annual fire hydrant testing throughout the City of Wiggins.

Over the next several months, firefighters will be testing hydrants on most weekdays between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM to ensure they are operating properly and ready to provide an adequate water supply during emergencies.

💧 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Motorists may encounter water flowing into roadways while hydrants are being tested. Please use caution when driving near testing operations or through water on the roadway.

• Hydrant testing may temporarily cause water discoloration in some homes and businesses. If this occurs, simply run cold water from a faucet for several minutes until the water clears.

• Please do not park in front of or block fire hydrants. Doing so not only makes hydrants difficult to access during testing, but can also delay firefighting operations during an emergency.
