BNSF has reported that the train blocking the Main Street crossing has broken down. They are hoping to reopen the crossing by 8PM.

Hey Everybody!! The Town of Wiggins will have NEW operating hours starting March 3rd. Town Hall will be closed on Mondays moving forward. We will be open Tuesday - Friday from 8:00 - 5:00.

Hello, good citizens of Wiggins. Please get prepared for the cold temperatures we are expecting this weekend. Here are some tips:

Insulate pipes:
Wrap exposed pipes, especially those in unheated areas like crawl spaces or near exterior walls, with pipe insulation or heating tape.

Disconnect outdoor hoses:
Detach and drain all outdoor hoses to prevent water from freezing inside them and backing up into your home's plumbing.

Maintain consistent temperature:
Keep your thermostat set to a constant temperature, even at night, to maintain consistent warmth throughout your home.

Open cabinet doors:
Open cabinets under sinks located near exterior walls to allow warm air to circulate around the pipes.

Let faucets drip:
During severe cold, let a small stream of water drip from faucets served by exposed pipes to keep water moving through the pipes and prevent freezing.

Locate shut-off valves:
Know where your main water shut-off valve is located in case you need to turn off the water supply in an emergency.

Winter conditions are expected across the region this weekend. Wondering how much ❄️ we will see? Take a 👀at the probability of 48 hour snowfall greater than 4" thru Sunday. The eastern Front Range Mountains, foothills, urban corridor, & Palmer Divide will be favored this time around.

Wiggins Town Hall will be closed in observance of the New Year on Wednesday, January 1, and Thursday, January 2. We will reopen on Friday, January 3rd at 8:30 am. We hope you have a safe and prosperous 2025!

Good afternoon Wiggins!

We have had several people try to drop off their completed election ballots inside Town Hall. We could potentially think about possibly considering a joke about accepting some ballots and not others, but we do not want to get into trouble. We will not be accepting ANY ballots INSIDE Town Hall. However, the ballot box at the northwest corner outside of Town Hall is accepting ballots 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until November 5 at 7 pm.

You do not need to put a stamp on your ballot if you place it in the ballot box. If you want to mail the ballot you will need a stamp and then you will need to take it to the Post Office. How about this, just save the 73 cents and put the ballot in the ballot box without the stamp.
