🎣🌊 Stone County Proud! 🌊🎣

The Stone County Board of Supervisors is incredibly proud to recognize Ava Nelson as she represents Stone County in this year’s Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo!

Ava is an outstanding example of the talented, hardworking, and community-minded young people who make Stone County special. At just 18 years old, she is already demonstrating remarkable dedication to excellence. Ava graduated early from Stone High School in December and proudly walked with the Class of 2026 in May. As a member of the National Honor Society and a graduate with High Honors, she has consistently displayed the discipline, commitment, and determination necessary to succeed.

Currently attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Ava is pursuing her dream of becoming a NICU nurse—a career that reflects her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Her ambition, compassion, and commitment to service are qualities that will undoubtedly serve her well in her future profession.

Beyond her academic achievements, Ava is deeply family-oriented and credits her family as the foundation that keeps her motivated and grounded. For the past four years, she has worked at the Pecan House in McHenry, where she has learned the value of hard work, consistency, and building relationships within the community. Those who know Ava recognize her positive attitude, welcoming smile, and genuine ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

As part of her participation in the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo, Ava is partnering with Harrison County representative Raegan Brooks to organize a raffle fundraiser that will support their involvement while helping preserve and promote one of Mississippi’s most treasured Gulf Coast traditions.

Ava represents the very best of Stone County—driven, resilient, compassionate, and dedicated to creating a bright future while serving others along the way.

Please join the Stone County Board of Supervisors in congratulating Ava Nelson and wishing her continued success as she proudly represents Stone County at the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo!

💙🤍Congratulations, Ava! We are proud of your accomplishments and honored to have you representing Stone County. Your hard work, character, and commitment to excellence make our community proud. 🎣🏆

Today, we proudly join the State of Mississippi in recognizing Mississippi Court Clerks Day, officially proclaimed by Governor Tate Reeves.

Court Clerks play a vital role in the administration of justice. Each day, they ensure the accuracy of court records, support judges and law enforcement, coordinate proceedings, and uphold the integrity of our judicial system. Their work is essential in maintaining transparency, fairness, and trust across our communities.

The Stone County Board of Supervisors extends sincere gratitude to:

• Treba Davis, Circuit Court Clerk

• Victoria Taylor, Justice Court Clerk

• Samuel Tom Smith, Chancery Court Clerk

Thank you for your professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to public service. While much of your work happens behind the scenes, its impact is felt across every corner of our community.

We appreciate all that you do to keep our courts running efficiently and effectively.

Please join us in celebrating and recognizing our Court Clerks today!
