Our thoughts and prayers are with the fallen deputy, the injured officer, their families, and all those affected. We stand in full support and solidarity with our fellow law enforcement agencies during this difficult time.

Part-Time Police Officer

The Wilburton Police Department is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Police Officer to assist with as needed shift coverage.

Requirements:
- Must be CLEET certified (Full-Time or Reserve) in the State of Oklahoma
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Must pass a background investigation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Duties Include:
- Responding to calls for service
- Enforcing local and state laws
- Conducting traffic enforcement and investigations
- Assisting full-time officers as needed

Compensation:
- Pay will be based on experience and certification level

Thanks to a JAG (Justice Assistance Grant), our department has secured 6 new hand-held radios! These radios will enhance our communication capabilities, allowing officers to respond more efficiently and keep our community safer.

We are proud to utilize grant funding to strengthen our department and continue serving Wilburton with the best tools available.

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR RESERVE POLICE OFFICERS

APPLICANTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE POSSESS A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED. OKLAHOMA RESERVE CERTIFICATION PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. TRAINING WILL BE HELD IN HOUSE FOR UNCERTIFIED APPLICANTS. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING AND A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK. QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MAY APPLY MONDAY– FRIDAY 8-4:30 AT WILBURTON POLICE DEPARTMENT.
