The Rasselas Road, between Jerry Road and Fritz Road will be CLOSED to through traffic Saturday 8/29 at 7am and the crossings will re-open on Tuesday morning, 9/1 around 7am.

The Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad has finally set the date of the closure for two railroad 2 crossings to be 8/29-9/1. Work will begin on Saturday 8/29 at 7am and the crossings will re-open on Tuesday morning, 9/1 around 7am.

During the closures an official detour will be in place. Work will take place on both crossings simultaneously. Local traffic can detour through Lime Kill Rd; Markert Road; Instanter Road.

The Wilcox Summer Recreation Program was cancelled today because of the air quality issues. It is also cancelled for tomorrow (Friday July 17th) also.

We'll see the kids back on Monday, July 20th at 10am.

🚨 URGENT ROAD CLOSURE / HAZARD ALERT 🚨
Please be advised that Mefferts Run Road is currently experiencing dangerous driving conditions, specifically in the area of the 1800 block, near the amish community farms.

Due to the recent heavy rains and flash flooding, a large drainage pipe has dislodged and come up through the ground, significantly compromising the roadway.

⚠️ What You Need to Know:
Location: Mefferts Run Road (1800 Block)

Hazard: Compromised road surface and exposed drainage infrastructure.

Action Required: Please AVOID this area if possible. If you must travel nearby, use extreme caution, slow down, and look out for emergency crews or barricades.

Our teams and local road crews are monitoring the situation. We will post updates as soon as they become available. Remember: Turn around, don't drown! 🛑🚗

Laurie Storrar, the Jones Township Secretary/Treasurer, announced her retirement during last night's Township Supervisors meeting. She began her career at Jones Township in 1987, and her contributions were acknowledged by State Representative Mike Armanini and the Elk County Commissioners.
