Kids Central Resource Center was able to purchase a medical wheelchair for a young man to help the caregivers and child transition to and from appointments and outings with ease and comfort.

It takes a village, and without our community donors like Lake Deaton United Methodist Church , we wouldn't be able to provide this level of support!

The Kids Central Prevention Department kicked off the first Friday of summer by giving back to the community. They proudly assisted their community partner, New Covenant UMC, FL, during their 1st Annual Backpack4Kids Assembly, helping fill 400 backpacks with school supplies for students at Wildwood Elementary School.

They were grateful for the opportunity to support local students and help them start the upcoming school year prepared for success!

As we enter the final week of National Foster Care Month, we want to take a moment to thank our incredible foster parents, staff, and community partners for the love, care, and support they provide to our amazing foster youth each and every day. 💙

We also want to encourage anyone who feels that pull in their heart to foster to reach out. You do not have to be perfect; you simply need to be willing to open your heart and home to a child in need.

Our goal is to have homes waiting for children, not children waiting for homes.

At our recent Quarterly Recognition Awards, we proudly celebrated the dedication and commitment of Kids Central employees, reaching milestone anniversaries of 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, and 20 years of service. The celebration featured a festive “Red, White and Blue” theme, complete with a delicious breakfast spread for staff to enjoy.

We are incredibly grateful to these team members whose passion and perseverance continue to move our mission forward. 💙

A special congratulations goes to Alachua Healthy Start Supervisor, Lindsey, on an outstanding 20 years of service with Kids Central! 🎉
