Welcome to the Rainbow Alliance! Our Mission: The Rainbow Alliance provides education, support, and advocacy for LGBTQA+ individuals and families while working to advance fairness and equality. Our Vision: We envision a future where all people in Northeastern Pennsylvania can live openly and free from fear; where individuals, organizations, and businesses work collaboratively to provide an equal,

inclusive community; and where we celebrate and nurture our diversity. To work towards this future we will educate and empower our volunteers to create strategic, peer-driven, sustainable programming overseen by strengthened volunteer leadership. Today, we remember and celebrate the one and only Dolly Parton — a true icon whose heart, kindness, and unwavering spirit have touched generations. 🌈🦋

Dolly’s legacy goes far beyond music. Through her continued support, compassion, and respect for the LGBTQIA+ community, she has shown what true allyship looks like: standing with us, celebrating us, and reminding us that everyone deserves to be loved for exactly who they are.

Her message has always been clear: love is love, kindness matters, and there is room for everyone at the table. 💕🏳️‍🌈

🌈 Happy National Nonprofit Day from Rainbow Alliance! 🌈

Today, we celebrate the countless nonprofits working every day to make our communities stronger, safer, and more inclusive.

As an LGBTQIA+ nonprofit, Rainbow Alliance knows firsthand that the need for community organizations doesn’t disappear just because Pride Month is over. Every day, we work to create spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can feel seen, supported, connected, and celebrated.

But nonprofits can’t do this work alone.

Behind every program, event, resource, advocacy effort, and community connection are volunteers, donors, supporters, and people who believe that everyone deserves to belong. Nonprofits across our community are being asked to do more while navigating limited resources and growing needs.

💙 So today, we’re asking YOU to take action:

Her true passion is celebrity impersonation, bringing legendary icons to life through her performances. From Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire to Madonna and Liza Minnelli, Chasity knows how to entertain a crowd and leave them wanting more! 🎤💋

With her quick wit, effervescent personality, and undeniable ability to be the life of the party, Chasity is the perfect addition to the PrideFest Royale family! 🌈👑

🏳️‍🌈✨ Congratulations to Our 2026 NEPA Pride Champion: Tommy! ✨🏳️‍🌈

The Rainbow Alliance is proud to recognize Tommy as this year’s NEPA Pride Champion! 💖

As Eileen O’Brennan, Tommy has brought so much joy, energy, and heart to our community—while using that platform to make a real difference. Through performances and fundraising, Tommy has helped raise thousands of dollars to support LGBTQIA+ organizations and causes throughout NEPA, including the Rainbow Alliance and the NEPA Youth Shelter.

But Tommy’s impact goes far beyond fundraising. They continue to show up, speak up, and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community across Northeastern Pennsylvania. Tommy also plays an integral role in coordinating and running our Pride Royale Pageant, helping create an incredible experience for contestants year after year. 👑

As a former NEPA PrideFest Royale winner, Tommy understands firsthand the power of the platform and has embraced the opportunity to give back, uplift others, and embody the mission of the Rainbow Alliance.

From the stage to advocacy, from fundraising to mentorship, Tommy continues to prove that being a Pride Champion means using your voice, your talents, and your heart to make our community stronger.

🏳️‍🌈 Congratulations to Our 2026 Ally of the Year — Cindy Taylor! 🏳️‍🌈

At this year’s NEPA PrideFest, we were honored to recognize Cindy Taylor as our Ally of the Year — and there could not be a more deserving recipient. 💙

Cindy is the true definition of showing up and speaking up for the LGBTQ+ community. Her allyship goes far beyond words. She consistently attends LGBTQ+ events throughout our region, supporting organizations, celebrating our community, and helping create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and welcome.

But Cindy doesn’t just show up — she gives back. From generously donating raffle baskets (often more than one!) to volunteering her time, talents, and expertise, Cindy is always looking for ways to help organizations succeed. Whether she’s helping behind the scenes, assisting with event planning, offering guidance, or simply stepping in wherever she’s needed, she does it with genuine compassion and without hesitation.

Her servant leadership, generosity, advocacy, and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact across our LGBTQ+ community. 🌈

We are still reminiscing on this year’s PrideFest!We wanted to give another heartfelt thank you to Drew Popish for serving as the Grand Marshal of this year’s NEPA PrideFest! 🌈

As a proud West Scranton native, Drew has never forgotten where he came from. Throughout his career in public service, including his work with the Shapiro Administration, he has been a visible advocate for LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians, helping advance equality, amplify LGBTQ+ voices, and champion policies that ensure every person can live authentically and safely in our Commonwealth.
