When I created this page, there wasn’t an official county page available. My goal was simple: provide a place where community members could stay informed, share local information, and promote transparency.

Since then, the county has launched its own official page (October 2025), which is a positive step for our community. I encourage everyone to follow the official page for announcements and information directly from county officials.

This page will continue to serve the community by sharing local news, public information, and encouraging community discussion while remaining an unofficial, independent page.

You can follow the county’s official page here:

Thank you to everyone who has supported this page from the beginning. Your support has helped build a stronger, more informed community.

Official page of Wilkes County Government. Serving our community with transparency, accountability, and dedication. Follow for county news, public updates, and events as we work together to make Wilkes County a great place to live, work, and visit.
