One thing I'm always speaking on is youth engagement and events. So I'm thankful to our Wilkinsburg Public Library , Wilkinsburg Police Department , Wilkinsburg Special Events Wilkinsburg School District , and Community Forge for making space for our youth in the community.

Every 1st Monday of the month we have our Blight and Infrastructure committee meetings to discuss all of land-based projects.

From cleaning up blighted lots or properties to building new roads, its all discussed in this committee. Due to the large amount of project and needed public input we have started to host working group meetings for more complex projects. So stay tuned for any working group meeting flyers in the future.

If you have a blight and/or Infrastructure concern bring it to our committee so we can add it to the list of things that need to be addressed. Block by block with the community we can improve our borough!

Even though I had a great time at the Wilkinsburg block party...I had a magical time at the Upstream Pittsburgh Music Festival. As a now recently former board member, I am proud to see the amount of growth and impact this organization has made. This event and the many projects they’ve done are a true testimony to the work they’ve put in.

I’m thankful to have a small part in the great work Upstream does, and got to be part of an amazing team of people passionate about this work. Special thank you to for his leadership as well as continued friendship, and dedication to the growth of EJ work in our region.

Hope for another festival next year 👀
