Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy (KNC)

Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy (KNC) Dedicated to the Children of Tomorrow-Kishwauketoe is a 231 acre Nature Preserve located on the shores of Geneva Lake in downtown Williams Bay, WI

In 1989, motivated by citizen outcry against a proposed golf course, townhouse, condominium, and convention center complex, the Williams Bay Board of Trustees purchased the 231-acre site for preservation and established the Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy. It realized that this area is the largest intact wetland remaining in the watershed of Geneva Lake and needed to be protected, preserved, and e

nhanced. All of our restoration work at KNC is accomplished by Volunteers, a small paid staff and supported 100% by donations. Please consider assisting us in anyway you can.

What’s orange, slimy, and lives under a log?

These super cool slugs!

The Kish Kids were incredibly brave today, exploring Southwick Creek and meeting some of the creatures that call it home. From turning over logs to wading through the creek, there was something exciting around every bend.
