Happy National Code Talkers day!

Today we celebrate an elite group of U.S. Marines who developed an unbreakable code using their native language.

The Navajo Code Talkers participated in all the assaults led by the U.S. Marines including, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Peleliu and Iwo Jima, in the Pacific from 1942 to 1945.

The Code Talkers played a vital role during these operations and conveyed messages by telephone and radio using their native language. The Japanese were unsuccessful in unearthing the messages as they could never manage to break the code.

John Was attending NAU but wanted a change of pace to achieving his personal goals to becoming a Marine ! It has been a life long goal of his. He is looking into a job in engineering as well as eventually becoming a Marine Security Guard!

Branin is a recent graduate from Ashfork High School he has always wanted to follow his mother and fathers footsteps and carry on the Marine Corps Legacy in the family. Branin is interested in the Administrative Field in the Marine Corps and he is trying to go to further his education to eventually become a Game Designer.
