You might think that after the last full week of school, our students would just kick back & relax this weekend, but our Panthers were busy in the community Friday night!

Our National Junior Honor Society students volunteered at Relay for Life. They had a great turnout and a great time!

Three of our Panthers showed off their designs in a fashion show at Tabitha Sewer Studio These students are SO talented.

We are grateful that our students show off their Panther PRIDE in so many different spaces outside of our campus. Good work, all!

On Monday, June 8, we will celebrate our 8th graders with a promotion ceremony at Bruton High School at 10:00 a.m. Our 8th grade students should be sure to arrive on time to school and to dress for success. Our 8th grade families should arrive to Bruton High School prior to 10:00 a.m. to be seated in time for the ceremony to begin at 10:00 a.m. We are excited for this opportunity to recognize our 8th graders as they move on from the Lake.

While many local schools have wrapped up their theater offerings for the year, QLMS still has two shows for you to see - this week!

Theatre Arts 7/8 1A will be performing The Wizard of Oz on Thursday, June 4th at 6PM, and Theatre Arts 7/8 4A will be performing Alice in Wonderland on Friday, June 5th at 6PM. Both shows will be performed in the QLMS Cafetorium.

Tickets are $5 for students and adults. YCSD staff and children 5 and under are admitted free.

Please come out to see at least one of these great shows before the end of the school year. Bravo to our theater students and teacher!

Our 8th graders are getting ready to have their last middle school dance on Friday, May 29th, from 5 - 7 p.m. It's going to be full of fun at-the-beach energy, and the music from the DJ will have your body moving! There will be karaoke for all the singers out there. There will be food and delicious drinks from our volunteers (see link below), and for our athletes, there will be an open gym so you can have fun on the dance floor AND the court!

Make sure your devices are fully charged and bring your charger to school with you. Get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and do your best. We believe in you, Panthers!

There will be a Bruton Zone Football Parent Meeting tomorrow, Thursday, May 14, at 5:30 p.m. in the Bruton High School School of the Arts auditorium.

There is also a Bruton Football Youth Camp coming up on Saturday, May 16, from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. at Bruton High School. This camp is designed for young athletes who want to improve their football skills. The registration fee is $25. Check out stories for the registration link!
