W&M College Libertarians

W&M College Libertarians WM College Libertarians believe economic, social, and intellectual freedom is worth protecting and promoting. We meet Wednesdays at 7 pm in Blair 223.

Mission:

To promote free markets and civil liberties through discussion and activism. About:

William and Mary College Libertarians endorses the basic tenets of liberty, including
*economic freedom to choose how to provide for one's life with few barriers and impositions
*social freedom to choose how to live one's life and
*intellectual and academic freedom

Through activism, organizing politica

l speakers and events, and attending conferences, William and Mary College Libertarians fosters an environment where students can learn more about classical liberal ideals and advocate for economic and social freedom. By working with organizations like Students for Liberty, Generation Opportunity, VA Industrial H**p Coalition, and Students for Sensible Drug Policy, we are able to work with people all over the commonwealth to advance principles of limited government and focus on a wide array of issues. For the 2014-2015 school year, the first year of the club's existence, we did significant outreach on mandatory minimums and drug policy, focusing on educating our campus about different ways to reform our criminal justice system. At our meetings, we handle everything from minimum wage laws to immigration policy, abortion and reproductive rights issues to zoning regulations and gun rights.
