Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority The Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority (VPPSA) is a regional solid waste authority.

VPPSA services ten member communities: the Cities of Hampton, Poquoson, and Williamsburg and the Counties of Essex, James City, King and Queen, King William, Mathews, Middlesex, and York County. Also included are the Towns of Tappahannock, Urbanna, and West Point. VPPSA is governed by a Board of Directors made up of one representative from each member city and county and appointed by the City Council or the County Board of Supervisors. The governing body of each member may also appoint an alternate who will represent the member jurisdiction in the absence of the appointed Board member.
