Dear Stop Scams Subscriber,

A jury duty and cryptocurrency scam is making the rounds in Kentucky again.

Scammers pretending to be law enforcement call and claim you missed jury duty. They direct their victims to a cryptocurrency kiosk to pay a fine and “resolve” the situation, but the money goes directly to the scammer.

If you receive this phone call, immediately hang up. Once cryptocurrency is sent, it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to recover. Legitimate law enforcement officials do not ask for or accept cryptocurrency as payment for fines.
