Greenleaf Hill This historical home located in Maine, was built and founded by the area's first mapmaker, Moses Greenleaf, in 1812.

After years of being neglected, then turned into a small apartment, it is now coming to life again!

Moses Greenleaf, the mapmaker, discovered a vein of slate in the Brownville area in 1828.

Several slate quarries operated in the Brownville area, attracting mostly Welsh and Swedish workers. The quarries closed by 1920.
