GED Success Story: Virginia Collins
"I was tired of the 'what ifs.'"
For years, Virginia Collins wondered how different her life might have been if she had finished high school. She knew she was capable of more, but without a diploma, she felt held back.
Finally, she decided it was time to stop asking "What if?" and prove to herself that she could do it.
The biggest hurdle? Math. There were moments when she wanted to give up, but with encouragement from her instructor, Rachael, and the support of those around her, she kept pushing forward.
Then came the moment she will never forget.
"When they told me I passed the math test, I broke down and cried. I done it. I got my GED."
Today, Virginia says the possibilities feel endless. She's excited about the future, knows college is now within reach, and finally has the confidence that comes from achieving a goal she once thought was out of reach.
Her advice for anyone still wondering whether to take the first step?
"Don't think about it—just do it. You'll be so happy you did."
Congratulations, Virginia! Thank you for reminding us that sometimes the hardest test leads to the greatest reward.
