If you’re willing to DO something about it, instead of simply complaining about it, come see what we’re all about.

Our next general membership meeting is at the Maximum Building (5252 Olde Towne Rd), Monday, June 8th at 6:30pm.
Be apart of our Juneteenth Celebration, our next town hall, health expo or candidate forum.

What a wonderful graduation for Project Discovery students May 28th at the JCC Rec Center. Program facilitators Jana Shelton, Felecia Norman and Michelle Soper, orchestrated a master class.
Riveting remarks were given by WJCC-Community Action Agency CEO Dr. Cheryl Finch, Delegate Jessica Anderson and NAACP - YJCW Youth Council’s Tina XO.

ABOUT PROJECT DISCOVERY
For nearly four decades, Project Discovery has worked with thousands of students in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Project Discovery assists students from predominantly low to moderate-income households or students who would be the first in the family to attend college.

The WJCC Project Discovery program combines a nationally recognized curriculum of workshops that improve study skills, time management, and financial planning with assistance to students and parents applying for both admissions and financial aid.

Project Discovery also takes students to college campuses where they can meet with financial aid and admissions officers, talk with students and professors, and see for themselves that college is attainable and important.

Project Discovery believes that hardworking, meritorious students should not be deprived of an opportunity to attend college simply because of a lack of funding.

What an informative event at the Community Idea Cafe, sponsored by City of Williamsburg and JCC, at the CDR building.

Ideas were gathered about issues pertaining to transportation in our area. Car seats and rides to and from doctor appointments for Medicaid recipients were among the top concerns.
