We see you rolling into town looking for a little help with your bike and we want to make sure you're taken care of! Our downtown bike shop Mile Marker 99 Bicycle Shop is currently closed, but we know this community has each other's backs.

Whether you're doing the full 184.5 miles or just passing through Williamsport, the Capital of the Canal, we want your pit stop here to be a good one.

And don't worry, as soon as our local bike shop is back up and running, you'll hear it from us first. We've got you, pedal pushers.

Stop the presses (or at least the canal boats). 🛶
Williamsport High School senior Ella Bryn Rechtorovic has been named a semifinalist for the 2026 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, one of the highest honors a graduating senior can earn in this country. We're talking 627 students. In the entire nation. And one of them goes to school right up the hill.
Ella earned her spot in the Arts category, and she's the ONLY semifinalist from Washington County on Maryland's list. Up to 161 students nationwide will be named Presidential Scholars later this year, and we'll be over here loudly rooting for her in the meantime.
Congratulations, Ella! You've made the whole Williamsport community proud. Drop some 💙💛 in the comments to celebrate one of our own doing big things.

🎓 Big news for Williamsport! A local senior is now a U.S. Presidential Scholars semifinalist—one step from national recognition. See link below ⬇️

Williamsport, we have a Hall of Famer in our midst! 🏐🏆
Emily Crabtree has been named to the Washington County Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026, and honestly, it could not have happened to a more deserving Wildcat. Emily was captain of the 1981 Williamsport state championship volleyball team, the very first title that started a dynasty. She went on to coach the Wildcats to five more state titles and is now in her tenth year as Athletic Director. All told, she has been part of 11 of Williamsport's 17 volleyball championships as a player, coach, or AD. Eleven. Let that sink in.
She will be inducted at the WCSHOF's 38th annual banquet on July 18 at Elks Lodge No. 378 in Hagerstown. Tickets are $35.
Congratulations, Emily. Williamsport is so proud! 🖤💛
