Journey House

Journey House Journey House is a transitional housing program for homeless families who live in Lycoming County. Journey House is a United Way Partner Program.

Journey House opened its doors on November 7, 2007, as a needed resource for homeless families. In 2007 there was no other agency offering to house an entire family that consisted of males and females. So, our mission was to fill that need. We operate four, 2-bedroom apartments, that are fully furnished for our families. Even today, with other agencies helping families with housing, Journey House

still operates at capacity. We are supported by New Covenant United Church of Christ, who started this program. The congregation is a tremendous support. We are also, proudly a Program Partner with the Lycoming County United Way. Through our program our families are required to be employed, and they work with a Budget Coach and Case Manager. Their goals are to address the family's debt, build a savings and remove the barriers that prevent self sufficiency.

❤️February Is Our Month of Love

Month of Love is a celebration of the small, everyday moments that strengthen our community.

Throughout February, United Way of North Central Pennsylvania is partnering with two of our local partners to turn simple rituals—like a morning coffee ☕or an evening pint 🍺—into meaningful support for our neighbors across Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties.

Starting today, the Williamsport Sun-Gazette will be accepting donations for the American Rescue Workers food pantry! Spaghetti, canned pumpkin, sauce, macaroni and more! Drop off any donations Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4pm.

We have many little ones upstairs and are currently in need of toddler beds! If you have a NEW or LIKE-NEW toddler bed that you would be willing to donate to the YWCA and can deliver it, please send a photo of the bed to [email protected]. We will coordinate a drop-off time for your donation so that help will be available to assist you with unloading. Thank you very much!
