What started with about 15 children grew to 33. 💙🎨

El Taller recently wrapped up another three-week program in Angosto, Dominican Republic, with five classes each week. As word spread through the community, attendance more than doubled, with 33 children regularly participating by the end!

These kids were doing much more than making art. Children created piggy banks while learning about saving, turned recycled materials into bird feeders while exploring upcycling, and participated in activities designed to build creativity and confidence.

After three busy weeks, our local leaders were tired but incredibly happy with the response. And looking at everything these kids created, there’s certainly a lot to be proud of. 💙

33 children. 15 classes. So much creativity, learning, and growth.

Every year ACES sends 50 volunteers to the Little League World Series. You can find our team selling drinks and snacks at the quick-grab stand at the center of all the action! A special thanks to The Repasz Band and Montoursville Rotary Club for helping to keep this effort going this year.

It was great to see the Dominican team from Santiago playing for the Caribbean region this year! Congratulations to all of the excellent players for making it to the World Series!

Together we can make a difference.

Mark and Kelly Uhland from ACES traveled to the Dominican Republic this past week where they aided in packing school supplies and medicine for an annual distribution project.

They continued on to several communities in need to help prepare the local children for the school year. With additional groups participating, the total project enabled 800 children to return to school this year with everything they need.

Today, we join our friends and partners in celebrating a very important day in Dominican history: Restoration Day. 🇩🇴

On August 16, 1863, the Dominican people began the fight to restore their independence, marking an important chapter in the country’s history.

ACES North America is proud to work alongside communities in the Dominican Republic and honored to celebrate the strength, culture, and spirit of the people who make our work together possible.

¡Feliz Día de la Restauración! 💙❤️

Some of the most meaningful change happens quietly, month after month. 💙

A small monthly gift helps ACES provide steady support for programs where children can learn, create, build friendships, and feel encouraged by the people around them.

When many people choose to give a little consistently, that support adds up to something much bigger.

🎒 For many children, a new backpack is more than just a school necessity.
It's a reminder that someone believes in them.

This month, ACES North America will once again partner with Faith Impact Foundation for the annual Back to School with Jesus outreach program in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to a $2,500 commitment from ACES, 250 children across five communities will receive backpacks filled with school supplies, along with medical and dental care. ACES board members Kelly and Mark Uhland will also travel to the Dominican Republic to take part in the outreach and meet the children and families being served.

What does $25 a month really look like?

🎨 It looks like art supplies waiting for a child eager to create.
📚 It looks like educational materials that spark curiosity and learning.
💙 It looks like a safe place for children to gather, grow, and build friendships.
🤝 It looks like a community knowing they have partners who believe in them.

A monthly gift of $25 may not seem like much, but over the course of a year, it helps provide the tools, resources, and support that allow programs to continue serving children and families.

Ready to make a difference each month?
