⭐️ Staff Highlight: Meet Sydney ⭐️
Sydney's journey with the Rescue Workers began as an avid thrifter and supporter of our mission. In March 2025, she joined the team at our Elmira Street Thrift Store, and before long, she moved into a role on the sorting floor, where she helps process donated items that are distributed to all of our thrift store locations.
Sydney shared, "I enjoyed working at the thrift store because every customer was someone in the community that I was helping by providing clothing or household goods to. Now that I'm on the sorting floor, I have an impact on all nine of our thrift stores by helping determine what products go on their shelves and by maintaining a good company image."
Sydney takes tremendous pride in her work, and it shows in everything she does. Her dedication helps ensure that quality items reach our stores and, ultimately, the people who rely on them.
Affectionately known around the warehouse as "The Queen of the Warehouse," a nickname given to her by the guys on the sorting floor, Sydney brings positivity and hard work to the team every day. All hail the Queen! 👑
While we're grateful to have her on our team, Sydney has exciting plans ahead. This fall, she will begin her senior year at Pennsylvania College of Technology, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Photography. She is expected to graduate in 2027.
Thank you, Sydney, for all that you do. We are proud to have you as part of the ARW family and look forward to cheering you on as you continue pursuing your goals.
