We are excited to announce another partnership with a local business near the park! Gravel & Grind is now offering C&O Canal inspired bags of coffee that will help support our mission and the C&O Canal National Historical Park. These beans pay tribute to the coffee that would have been bought and sold along the canal during its heyday and celebrate the canal as an early form of American transportation. Special shout out to Choco Sombra for roasting this delicious coffee. Make sure to stop by Gravel & Grind to pick up a bag and support your local national park!

We are opening Lockhouse 6 to tours in celebration of Heritage Montgomery Days! Please join the Canal Quarters team for a brief overview of park and lockhouse history, followed by self-guided tour of the interior of this unique 200 year-old historic structure! Located near the Clara Barton Parkway on the C&O Canal Towpath, this is the perfect stop on your trip to learn more about the history of the park.

Last Friday, Deloitte joined us for another day of impact at Fletchers Cove and Georgetown! 64 volunteers removed 1,175 pounds of trash, painted 17 structures and thousands of feet of fencing, removed 1,975 pounds of invasive or overgrown vegetation, and more! Thank you for helping us take care of these popular sections of the park, especially as warmer weather increases visitation. Your stewardship is critical to maintaining the C&O Canal!
