Hello everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be shutting this page down. This page and the community garden project was 100% Paul Hickners idea, and work, he had asked me to help several years ago. Paul passed away recently. I would love to see his legacy continue on, however it’s not something I am capable of doing solo. Thank you to all who gave their time to volunteer for this as well as the folks at Crosaires for the place to grow such a selfless garden. I grew up across the street from Paul and have known him most of my life. Paul is greatly missed.
If anyone has questions, please feel free to message me on my personal page.
Thank you all,
Sincerely,
Monica Donnelly

Happy spring everyone! The project is
looking to form a small core group of interested volunteers to make the the community garden a reality. If you are a resident of the Greater Williamston Area and are interested in helping to make it a reality, I’d be glad to hear from you. Need leaders, growers, land to grow on and tools. Paul’s cell is 1-517-230-0980. Thx!

Two weekend volunteers- Eva and her friend Gage- took time out from the hustle and bustle of a family get -together (9 people and a high- maintenance dog) and came out to Crosaires this weekend to see what's happening. Showed them the nice crop of potatoes that's starting to flower. Photo is of Gage tilling the ground before planting a late crop of green beans. Eva is supervising. Told them all about the holistic environment for the elders at Crosaires. Beans got planted soon after.
