Tonya Beagle, Jailer The Grant County Detention Center is a 348 bed facility which houses adult male and female offenders.

The facility houses both Grant County and State inmates. The facility includes a 69 bed work program for community custody state inmates who provide community service work to the citizens of Grant County. In addition, the facility also includes a 100 bed Substance Abuse Program (SAP) for both male and female offenders. The SAP is a 6-month intensive treatment program recognized by the Kentucky Dep

artment of Corrections which provides intensive substance abuse treatment for inmates. The facility is currently expanding its substance abuse treatment to include an 80 bed SOAR (Supporting Others in Active Recovery) program. SAP graduates may apply and participate in SOAR where they will continue treatment, counseling and support. The facility provides additional programming for inmates such as GED, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Lifeskills, Soft Skills Bootcamp and more.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office has received information involving a scam circulating the area. Someone is pretending be a Captain with the Grant County Detention Center or the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The scammers are demanding money to get a family member out of jail.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office will not call and ask for money to get someone out of jail. Do not give out any personal or banking information over the phone.

The scammers are at it again. If you receive a call such as this please call us to report and do not give anyone money. We will never ask for bond payments over the phone, bonds are only paid at the jail or at the courthouse. Be vigilant.
