On Friday May 1st, the Williamstown Fire Department, Cecil Fire Company, Gloucester County EMS, and Monroe Township Police Department (Gloucester County, NJ) participated in a mock crash scenario for the students at the Williamstown High School. The students were able to see a complex extrication process, and were educated by MTPD on the consequences of driving under the influence.

On Thursday, April 23rd, Williamstown Fire Department took part in Take Your Kid to Work Day for the children of the employees at Monroe Township.

The kids were full of excitement and curiosity as they explored the fire truck inside and out during their outdoor session on Virginia Avenue. We hope all the kids had a fun filled and educational day!

Members of the Williamstown Fire Department attended the Monroe Township Autism Awareness event Saturday, April 25th at the Pfeiffer Community Center.

Tower 29 was used for aerial photography of the event and Finn’s Friends Park under construction! Kids of all ages enjoyed viewing and sitting in the truck!

What a great event, and glad to be a part of it!

WE WANT YOU!

The Williamstown Fire Department is currently looking for volunteer firefighters. In 2025 our department responded to 1,000 calls for service. As of today members have responded to over 300 calls for service, 10 of which have been working fires within Monroe Township. The Williamstown Fire Dept. is a fast paced company and only getting busier.

Requirements for Membership:
- Be a US citizen
- Be 18 years of age
- Live within Monroe Township, or two miles from our borders.
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a physical

Requirements for Junior Program:
- Be a US citizen
- Be 16 years of age
- Live within Monroe Township
- Have parental consent
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a physical
- Maintain a C average in school

Benefits:
- Free training
- Be apart of the brotherhood
- Brand new state of the art fire station
- Fitness center
- New Jersey relief and exempt association
- LOSAP - (Longevity of Service Awards Program)

* Many members from our department have gained experience and training that has helped them get hired as full time or part time firefighters in other departments in the area or throughout the east coast.
