What a fantastic National Night Out, hosted at Owen’s Memorial Park, by our Monroe Township Police Department. Chief John McBride and his Officers welcomed all residents at the event.

Mayor Greg Wolfe, Council Vice President Pat Oreilly, Ordinance Chairman Councilman Don Heverly, Councilman Brian Cope, Councilman Al Rossi and Deputy Mayor Joe Kurz attended the event to support the Monroe Township Police Department.

National Night Out is an annual event bringing people together to enhance relationships between Law Enforcement and our Community.

We thank all the sponsors, vendors and volunteers for participating. We also thank Anna Sullivan for kicking off the event by singing the Star Spangled Banner.

The event was well attended and we thank the community for their continued support.

Tonight, Mayor Greg Wolfe and Community Affairs Director Mrs. Donna Park welcomed the children to our annual “Shark Week” event, hosted at the Pfeiffer Community Center. The children were treated to candy, snacks, cup cakes, ice cones and much more.

The children also played shark trivia and prizes were awarded for the top three winners. It was very fitting that tonight’s storm hit during the event, causing the power to go out, making it much scarier for the children.

Great job by the Community Affairs Department and all the volunteers for hosting another great, fun event.

Monroe Township has submitted the Annual Budget to the State of NJ for Approval. Unfortunately, there have been some delays this year with Municipalities receiving their Final Tax Rate.

Upon receiving final approval from the State, updated tax bills will be issued and mailed out immediately.

In the mean time, the August property tax due date has been extended and you will receive the new property tax due date when the tax bills are finalized and mailed to you.

The Township’s website and page will be immediately updated with the new tax rates and the new due date.

As always, residents are encouraged to regularly visit the Township’s website and page for the latest updates.
