NO COST TRAINING OPPORTUNITY!!!
The Williamsville Fire Protection District is hosting a FREE Forcible Entry course through the Illinois Fire Service Institute.
Date: Thursday, August 15th 2024.
Time: 6:00pm- 10:00pm
Course Description: This course is designed for the firefighter with any level of experience, being that it is only a basic level course covering basic Forcible Entry techniques. In this class the student will learn basic skills concerning many types of: forced entry, tools needed, types of tools used, how to use these tools and instructor tips and tricks during class room and hands on exercises. Upon successful completion of this class, the student should walk away with an increased level of basic firefighter competencies on this important subject.

With the nice weather tonight, some of our firefighters were working on their skills of pumping our engine and operating from a fire hydrant. As the weather warms up, you may see us around town more often doing training exercises. Give us a wave if ya see us out and about! 👋🏻

The Williamsville, IL Police Department was made aware of suspicious activity in the area of Winding Oaks and Cherry Circle(around lunch time). Thank you to the resident who locked their doors and prevented a crime, and thank you for reporting it. There is no description of suspect, this just a reminder to lock your vehicles and homes👮👍

In 2023, 68% of pre-existing smoke alarms in homes that received new 10-year sealed battery smoke alarms from the Be Alarmed program were non-functional or were expired! 😲 Test and inspect monthly, and replace any broken or expired alarms today!
