Mrs Durchholz’ Creative Mindset Class:
Students have been working on a self-selected creative project in class this week. Projects include a baseball sliding mitt, a mini- mini-golf game, a tabletop basketball shoot-out, a lyrics book, an all-about animals book, a how-to guide to terrariums, a Spanish translation project, a photography destinations book, and a magnetic fishing game.
Today, a magnetic ball tragically fell down the sink after a valiant attempt in mini- mini-golf. Luckily, our magnetic fishing game entrepreneurs saved the day and retrieved it with their prototype!

Adjusted Start Time for the 2023 Bullets Football Home Opener
In order to keep all students, fans, and officials safe at the 2023 Bullets Football home opener, the WCUSD #15 Athletic Department, in conjunction with Porta High School, has made the decision to move the start time back to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Paul Jenkins Field. Gates will be open to fans at 7:00 pm for entry into the stadium. All seating within the stadium is general admission and will be available on a first come first serve basis when gates open.
We will continue to monitor the weather situation and work in conjunction with both our medical staff and the officials to make any adjustments to the start of the game or play throughout the game, if necessary, based upon the IHSA Heat Policy. If changes need to be made on Friday in regard to the start of the game, we will communicate them as soon as we make a decision.
We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this decision and our continued efforts to provide the safest and most enjoyable experience possible for both our students and the fans in attendance at all our extra-curricular events. Thank you once again for your continued support of both Bee Bee and Bullet Athletics.

What makes a school lunch? Did you know that school lunches must follow meal patterns set by USDA & IL State Board of Education? The lunch meal pattern requires daily and weekly amounts of five food components for lunch (milk, fruits, vegetables, grains, and meat/meat alternates). Out of the 5 components 3 of them must be on the tray with at least 1 fruit or vegetable. Help spread the word and let your student know the requirements before coming to lunch. Don't forget school lunches start tomorrow!
ATTENTION BULLET & BEE BEE Community! SES has a vacancy for a dynamic Special Education Teacher. Interested candidates need to contact Mr. Ibbotson ASAP. We also have several anticipated openings....APPLY NOW! WCUSD #15 is a great place to start and end your career. GREAT SCHOOLS = GREAT COMMUNITIES! IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A BULLET AND A BEE BEE!
