Well that's suspicious! Three Republican candidates in Eastern CT, including Chris Reddy for Ct 29th Senate District who lost his state senate race, are being investigated by the State Elections Enforcement Committee for collectively paying $56,000 in public dollars to a mystery company named Sale Co.

Chris Reddy paid $29,000 - nearly a quarter of his publicly funded election grant to a business that doesn't exist and is associated with an address belonging to a CT House Republican staffer.

The State Elections Enforcement Commission has found probable cause to investigate allegations of misuse of campaign funds involving three candidates during and after the 2024 election.

This is what leadership looks like - thank you Congressman Joe Courtney for your support for Northeastern Connecticut and Connecticut Office of the Attorney General William Tong for taking on the Sackler family and Big Pharma and delivering life saving support for those suffering from addiction.

I joined Community Health Resources in Willimantic for the launch of their new mobile opioid treatment program, which is funded by opioid litigation proceeds dispersed by the state of Connecticut. The new mobile unit will hit the roads this summer, bringing care directly to people in northeastern CT, the most rural part of our state.

In 2023 and 2024, the region saw a drop in overdoses, but Secretary RFK Jr. in 2025 presided over a decimation of the substance abuse agency in HHS, which threatens that progress. The mobile clinic could not come at a more critical time. Kudos to CHR President & CEO Heather Gates, her staff, and CT Attorney General William Tong for using the Purdue Pharma judgment to hold the line in eastern Connecticut.

🚨 Dave Bautista is facing backlash online after sharing a blunt message about attitudes toward transgender people. 👀

The actor posted:

💬 “If a trans person bothers you more than a N**i, re-evaluate.”

The statement quickly went viral, sparking heated debate across social media. While supporters praised Bautista for speaking out against extremism and discrimination, critics accused him of making an unfair comparison.

Bautista has never shied away from sharing his views, and this latest post is proving no exception. 🔥

Voters are still waiting on Chris Reddy for Ct 29th Senate District to make it clear whether he is aligned with the repugnant comments of Jadon MacCormack or not 🦗🦗🦗

The nomination of Jadon MacCormack raises serious questions about the direction of today’s Republican Party. Hate and extremism have no place in Connecticut or in public service.

Last month, the Windham Republicans hosted a candidate meet and greet for four Republican candidates seeking public office and promoted them as “awesome people with great ideas and plans.”

Three of those candidates, Chris Reddy, George Austin, and Brian Saucier, will appear on Windham ballots this November, with Reddy and Austin also appearing on ballots across parts of Connecticut.

Since then, candidate Jadon MacCormack has made public statements about LGBTQ+ people that have been widely condemned by leaders across Connecticut, including members of his own party. While Republican and Democratic officials have publicly rejected those views, the local Republican leaders and candidates who promoted and appeared alongside him have not publicly responded.

We are asking Chris Reddy, George Austin, and Brian Saucier to clarify whether they condemn MacCormack’s statements regarding LGBTQ+ people.

This is not a partisan issue but one of character, leadership, and accountability. LGBTQ+ members of our community deserve to know where those seeking to represent them stand. Silence creates uncertainty; leadership requires clarity. We invite those involved to make their position known.
