At approximately 23:45 last night, The Willington Fire Department and the Willington Hill Fire Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Moose Meadow Rd for a reported Vehicle Accident with entrapment. Initial reports indicated multiple patients trapped in the vehicle, prompting additional ambulances from Ashford and UCONN, as well as a Windham Hospital and AMR Paramedics to be dispatched. First arriving units found all occupants self extricated from the vehicle. One person was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. Units returned to service by 0200.

Both Ambulances are staffed today as Ambulance 613 with 2 FF/EMTs is standing by in the Town of Union for the Nipmuck Waterskips. Station 213 remains staffed with 2 FF/EMTs.

Wednesday, at approximately 6pm, the Willington Fire Department, Willington Hill Fire Department with AMR Paramedics were dispatched to I84 West in the area of X71 for a reported vehicle accident with fire. C13 arrived to find an overturned military vehicle, well involved in fire.

Tankers were requested from multiple surrounding towns to assist with supplying water. One patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The fire was controlled 1 hour after arrival. Units cleared at approximately 11pm

Reminder to the public, while incidents like these are interesting, please do not stop your vehicle in the vicinity of the incident to record or witness the incident. Units were continuously impeded by vehicles parked on the side of the road.

This morning, at approximately 4am Willington Fire Department #1, Willington Hill Fire Department with Windham Hospital Paramedic and LIFE STAR were requested to the 200 block of Willington Hill Rd for a reported Vehicle Accident with Injuries.

While enroute, a IAFF Local S-15 UConn Fire-Rescue and AMR paramedic were added to the assignment due to reports of multiple patients.

Squad 113 and Ambulance 513 arrived within 7 minutes of dispatch, finding the vehicle overturned. Mansfield Fire and Emergency Services, CT Truck 207 was added to the assignment. The operator had exited the vehicle and was flown to a trauma center. The passenger was removed from the vehicle after a short extraction and transported to a trauma center.

At approximately 0104 this morning, your Willington Fire Department, with multiple Mutual Aid Resources, were dispatched to Old River Rd for a reported structure fire. ET113 with 2 Firefighters arrived within 8 minutes of dispatch and the fire was knocked down within 3 minutes.

At this time no Injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Units remained on scene for approximately 2 hours.

At approximately 0230 this morning, the Willington Fire Department was requested to the town of Mansfield for a structure fire. ET113 was special called to assist with water supply and responded with 3 members. ET113 provided water while its manpower was assigned to partake in RIT (Firefighter rescue) operations. ET113 returned to service at 0430.

Willington Fire is on scene of a tree on wires call on Luchon Rd within the 100 block. Luchon rd is closed at this time....
