🚨🍪 OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE WILLIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 🍪🚨

Today, our officers received an unexpected delivery from the Girl Scouts, and we are pleased to report that the situation has been thoroughly investigated.

After careful examination, the cookies were determined to be absolutely delicious and posed no threat to public safety—except perhaps to our waistlines.

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the Girl Scouts for their generous donation and for keeping our officers fueled during their shifts. Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs... we can neither confirm nor deny that some evidence may have mysteriously disappeared during the investigation.

Your kindness and support mean the world to us. We are proud to serve a community filled with such thoughtful young leaders.

Now if you'll excuse us, we have some very important follow-up investigations to conduct in the break room.

SCAM ALERT: Spoofing Phone Calls 🛑

We have been notified that scammers are currently "spoofing" our official department phone number to trick citizens.

These fraudsters are masking their actual number so that your caller ID shows our department's name or phone number. Please be aware: We are not making these calls.

To protect yourself, keep these critical facts in mind:
** No Outbound Requests: Our department will never call you to demand money, request payments, or ask for gift cards, prepaid credit cards, or wire transfers.
** No Personal Info: We will never ask for your Social Security number, banking details, or sensitive passwords over the phone.
** Verify the Caller: If you receive an unexpected or suspicious call from our number, hang up immediately. Do not trust your caller ID.
** Call Us Directly: If you need to verify if an officer actually needs to speak with you, manually dial our official non-emergency number yourself.

Well… we guess not everyone got the message the first time. 👀

We have two more suspects involved in recent theft activity, and once again, we’re asking for the community’s help.

If you recognize either of these individuals, please contact the Willis Police Department at 936-856-4039, Option #4 and ask to speak with a Detective.

As always, we appreciate our community keeping an eye out and helping us keep Willis a safe place to live, work, and shop. 🛍️🚓

The Willis Police Department is proud to introduce our new Safe Exchange Zone—a designated area to help our community complete online purchases and custody exchanges safely.
📍 Located at the Willis Police Department, this area is under video surveillance and provides a secure environment for meeting with strangers.
We encourage residents to use this space when buying or selling items through platforms like Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or during child custody exchanges.
Your safety is our priority. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and contact us immediately.
