We know the picture is not great but does anyone recognize this pooch? She is located on Butternut Road. Is aggressive and won't come out from under the truck. Drop them off at Williston Town Hall or Dorothy Alling Memorial Library during regular business hours from April 9 to noon on April 15. We're Hiring!

The Williston Police Department is a 24-hour full-service police agency serving a residential population of about 11,000 people. We currently have 17 sworn officers to include a Chief of Police, Lieutenant and 4 Patrol Sergeants, 3 Dispatchers, and one Administrative Assistant.

We're committed to helping our officers succeed in their careers and provide them with the support they need to thrive. We are currently looking for Patrol Officer Positions and offer a highly competitive compensation package including:

Starting wage as of July 1, 2023 $61,547 ($29.59 an hour).

$10,000 Sign on Bonus ($5,000 at the conclusion of probation followed by $5,000 one year after probation)

Longevity Bonuses ($1,000 at 5 years, increasing $100 a year up to $2,000 at 15 years, paid yearly)

VMERS C Retirement Pension Plan, with additional 457 IRA

12 Paid Holidays

Health, Dental and Vision plan

Education Bonuses (paid every year)

$1,200 for a Masters

$1,000 for a Bachelors

$500 for an Associates
