Today we celebrated Mrs. Trottie on her retirement, showed appreciation to staff members who will not be returning next school year, and had an absolute blast giving out staff superlative certificates! What a fun, exciting, and memorable way to end the school year together.

A special shoutout to Erica’s Kitchen for the amazing food — everything was delicious! Great laughs, great memories, and great people. ❤️🎉

🎉 KEES 2026 Field Day will definitely be one to remember! 🎉

Our scholars, staff, and parents enjoyed an amazing day filled with fun games, great food, tasty snacks, and music by DJ Weezy! The music was lit, the energy was high, and the entire atmosphere was filled with excitement and smiles all around.

A very special shout out to Coach Mundy and his team for doing an outstanding job organizing such a fantastic Field Day experience for everyone. Your hard work and dedication helped make today a huge success! 👏🏾

📢 Reminder for Parents & Scholars:
Remaining snacks from today’s event will be sold during your child’s recess tomorrow and Friday. Scholars will have the opportunity to purchase snacks during those times.

📢 Attention Parents & Families 📢

Due to the threat of inclement weather tomorrow, we have made the decision to move our Field Day event indoors for the safety and comfort of everyone. If the weather forecast shifts in our favor, we will return to the original outdoor plan.

To better accommodate our students and families in the enclosed space, we will operate on the following shortened time slots:

🚌 Pre-K, Kindergarten & 1st Grade:
⏰ 8:45 AM – 10:00 AM

🚌 2nd & 3rd Grade:
⏰ 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM

🚌 4th & 5th Grade:
⏰ 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM

Day 5
We wrapped up the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week with a delicious spread for our amazing staff! 🌭🥗🍪❤️

Today, teachers enjoyed a hotdog bar with all the fixings, chips, cookies, red velvet cake, and a fresh salad bar. It was a small way to say THANK YOU for the love, dedication, patience, and hard work you pour into our students each and every day.

We appreciate all that you do for Kelly Edwards Elementary! Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and this week was all about celebrating YOU! 🍎✨

Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week was all about refreshing our amazing staff! 💙🍓🥤

A huge thank you to our Special Education service providers — Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and School Psychology — for treating our teachers to a fun custom drink bar complete with stickers, flavor packets, fresh fruit, candy toppings, and more!

To make the day even sweeter, our office staff and leadership team surprised teachers with a delicious lunch as a small token of appreciation for all they do each and every day for our students.

Kelly Edwards Elementary is truly blessed with an incredible team of educators and support staff. Your dedication, teamwork, and love for our scholars do not go unnoticed! 🍎✨

Day 3 of Teacher Appreciation Week was full of flavor and fun! 🥤✨ Our teachers got creative and mixed up their own fizzy “dirty drinks,” adding a little sparkle to the day.

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Darolyn Jackson for treating our staff to her world-famous banana pudding—an absolute hit! 🍌💛 Your kindness and delicious generosity made the day even sweeter.
