Join us June 24th for our next Crafternoon! We will be meeting at 2 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Bring whatever craft you are currently working on and socialize with other crafters! Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Did you miss our Pizza Garden Planter event earlier this month? If so, you can still participate as we are offing this one more time on June 24, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. You will meet Sandy, our University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener, and plant a pizza container garden with tomatoes and herbs to take home and tend throughout the summer. You will receive care instructions for your plants and a pizza recipe to use when your veggies and herbs have grown big enough to eat. Please register by Monday, June 22, so we can have enough materials on hand. If you are participating in our Teen Summer Reading Program this year, your attendance at this event will count toward an entry into the grand prize drawings in April.

We will be having a Red Cross Blood Drive at the Willmar Public Library on June 30th! It will go from 9 am to 3 pm in the Multipurpose Room. If you would like to donate, please either call 1-800-Red Cross (1-800-733-2767), go on the American Red Cross Blood Drive app, or visit redcrossblood.org to sign up.

Join us for our Junk Journal Sunshine Club! This program meets bi-monthly on the last Tuesday of the month at 2 pm. The library will provide supplies, but you are welcome to bring your own, or any themed items you have for your projects as well. Come up to the Multipurpose Room to participate!

Today tickets become available for our Music in the Gardens Bus Trip! On July 12th, those with tickets will be able to board the bus at 12:45 from the Willmar Public Library and head up to St. Cloud and the Munsinger Clemens Gardens at 1 pm. You must have your ticket to be able to board the bus. We have a limited number of tickets available at the Information Desk of the Willmar Public Library. The concert starts at 3 pm, so you will have time to look around the gardens beforehand. We will head back to Willmar at 5 pm. This program is paid in part or in full with a Legacy Amendment Grant. This program is meant for adults (18+).

Read & Relax Book Club for teens will be held June 22, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. All teens ages 12 - 18 are invited to join us for an informal book club at the library in the multipurpose room. Meet new friends, enjoy snacks and drinks while you read, and talk about what you’ve read. Bring your book, along with a blanket and/or pillow to help you be cozy and relaxed. We will spend some time visiting, and some time reading. Don't really feel like talking? Not a problem. Discussion is optional. You may arrive and leave as your schedule permits. Hope to see you there! Note: if you are participating in our Teen Summer Reading Program, your attendance at this event will count toward an entry for our grand prize drawings in August.

Get ready for a bean-tastic performance!

Jack is a curious kid who loves adventures,
exploring, and digging up new ideas. When he
finds a magic bean, he plants it in hopes of
growing lots of food for his family. Much to
Jack’s surprise, it grows a giant beanstalk that
stretches all the way into the sky. Being the
adventurer he is, Jack climbs the beanstalk
and discovers the Land of the Giants. However,
in this new land, Jack just can’t keep his hands
to himself and keeps taking things that don’t
belong to him. With the help of the audience,
Jack learns to own up to his actions and plant
a SEED to succeed.

The interactive performance is around 35 minutes
long and is best suited for children up to 10 years old.
