Much appreciation to all the golfers and hole sponsors. Your generosity and desire to help veteran causes is greatly appreciated.
FOURTH FIREWORKS! Stop up at the VFW Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1500 and celebrate Independence Day on the evening of July 4th to watch fireworks. Burgers and Hotdogs will be available. Free parking for members all others $5.00 donation. They launch the fireworks right off of Pelton rd. Front Row seats. Join us!
This Saturday the Sons will be having their Corn Hole tourment up at the Post starting at 2 pm. They will have hamburgers and Hot dogs to satisfy your appetite for a couple bucks. Saturday is looking like a great day to be out with winds being out of the south so there will be no smoke hazards when you are playing. Look forward to seeing everyone there. The outside has a new look as the Flag poles have been set and waiting for the Flags to come in. Landscaping in the front and side of the post has been completed. The canteen has new ceiling tiles and we are waiting for the carpet squares to come in.

THE DAY HAS ARRIVED…..Home Depot bestowed upon us a 16K Grant for landscaping, flag pole installation, new ceiling tiles, carpet, Led lighting, 24x12 lean to and so much more. Thank you so much! Desperately needed. Speechless.
Just a reminder. The post will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday this week for maintenance. Please stop in on Friday to see all the new improvements. New carpeting, ceiling tiles, new wax on hall floor, landscaping, flag pole installation and much more. Thanks to the Home Depot of Mentor for your very generous donation. Much needed and appreciated.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Christmas Party and made it a very enjoyable event. Dinner was provided by the VFW1500 and the deserts everyone brought were outstanding.
The white elephant gift exchange was a hoot, and the plastic wrap Christmas gift ball was very challenging and a lot of fun. Great times were had by all! We are already looking forward to next year. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years to all.

It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of William “Bill” Black.
Bill was a proud Marine and Vietnam Veteran and supporter of the VFW 1500 for many years.
Bill held many positions at the VFW over the years. Bill would always roll his sleeves up and help out with building maintenance, cooking and what ever else was needed or asked of him. He will be truly missed. RIP Semper Fi.

50th Anniversary and Testimonial for Jack.
Fish Fry Fridays are on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. We will be on hold until October 4th., due to the lack of customers, so we have decided that it is best that we don't continue to have them throughout the summer months. We always appreciate your support and hope to see all of our regular customers in September!
