Stay cool Rebels! 😎

Due to the predicted extreme temperatures, all district buildings and the Board of Education will be closed on Wednesday, September 2nd.
These temperatures will cause many classrooms to reach or exceed 100 degrees, which is not a safe learning environment for students and staff.

Remember those hurricane-proof houses we shared a few days ago?
Well… they were officially put to the test! Could their designs withstand severe weather?
Our 5th graders tested their creations to see if their engineering skills could stand up to the storm! What a fun way to put their learning into action! 🌪️💨⛈️

📚➕🧱 Kindergarten learning in action!
Mrs. Huber’s Kindergarten students listened to Rex Wrecks It! and then put their creativity and math skills to work! Using math tools, they built towers with Rex and his friends. What a fun way to bring a story to life!

🏠🌪️ Hurricane-Proof Houses!
Our 5th graders put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building hurricane-proof houses! Students used creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork to create structures strong enough to withstand the storm.
Way to go, 5th grade!

Mrs. Vandrasik’s 3rd grade class jumped right into their first official day altogether by reviewing their classroom rules in a fun and memorable way! Students practiced the rules with hand motions and then worked with a partner to teach and reinforce them.

They also participated in a “First Day Scoot” to build collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills while getting to know their classmates! 🤝💙
