Saturday August 22 - the bike was recovered!

UMPD is requesting assistance in locating an orange Mongoose brand BMX bike. The bike was stolen this morning from a residence on the 400 block of Willard Road by a male fleeing from police. The male was apprehended but the bike has not been located.

We are asking that residents in the area of Willard Road, Exton Road, Abbott Road and the neighboring streets check their property for the bike so we can return it to its rightful owner.

As summer begins to wind down, it's time to start looking ahead to the beginning of another school year. That includes keeping our students safe by slowing down on the roads, staying alert, distraction free and stopping for school buses that are loading or unloading children.

This little guy was located on the 600 block of Orchard this afternoon. He is not chipped and not wearing tags or a collar. He will be staying at UMPD enjoying some snacks for awhile before heading to Hatboro PD’s kennel. Please call us at 215-657-4700 if you know where he belongs.

UMPD Officers were honored to be a part of The Official Hatboro Little League Officer Allen K9 Classic last week! UMPD’s own baseball phenom, Officer Kelly, threw out the first pitch. We are so grateful to the league for keeping Officer Allen’s memory and life of service alive through this event!

5:45pm: The roadway is now open.

Saturday July 18 12:45pm:

Davisville Road is shut down in both directions between Damian Drive and Winding Road following a vehicle accident that brought a utility pole down across the roadway. PECO is enroute to make repairs.

We encourage residents to celebrate safely and with consideration for their neighbors. Per Upper Moreland Township ordinance, fireworks may not be ignited or discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure or on any Township property, including streets, sidewalks and parks.

Please continue to check on your neighbors during this extreme heat and dial 9-1-1 for police, fire or EMS if assistance is needed.

The Officers of the UMPD had a wonderful time at our annual Junior Police Academy last week! From K9 and SWAT demonstrations, a visit from the Pennsylvania State Police Aviation Unit, learning about healthy friendships and personal safety to many games of dodgeball and Cops and Robbers - we did it all!

This event would not be successful without the help of so many community partners. Thank you for giving your time and talent and helping us build connections between law enforcement and youth.
