The First Day of School is almost here! ✨📚

✅ Grades 1–12 begin tomorrow, Monday, August 31
✅ Kindergarten begins on Tuesday, September 1

Please note: On Monday, August 31, 7th & 8th grade students will follow a 2-hour delayed schedule to allow for special transition activities for our incoming 6th graders.

Thank you for visiting with us, Rep. Nancy Guenst! 🐻💜

I was thrilled to meet up with Dr. Susan Elliott, superintendent of Upper Moreland Township School District, to visit the BEARS Barista Coffee shop run completely by BEARS Transition Program students at Upper Moreland High School.

I stopped in to grab a cup of coffee, a delicious treat, and to meet some of the students who have made this coffee shop a reality. They are amazing students who through this experience have the chance to learn functional, everyday skills at the same time as building confidence, employability, and independent living skills.

The BEARS Barista is open to the public so if you get a chance, swing by and see what an amazing operation this is!

They are located on the ground floor of the Upper Moreland School District Administration Building, 509 Davisville Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. They are open Wednesday-Friday from 8am-11:00am through the end of July and then on the days that school is in session for Upper Moreland students.

Our ESY students had a wonderful time visiting the BEARS Barista Café yesterday! ☕🥐

Students enjoyed ordering breakfast, sweet treats, & practicing real-world skills while supporting our student-run café in the UMTSD Administration Building.

We’d love for our community to stop by & check it out this summer!

🌟 Congratulations to the UMHS Rotary Student of the Month for June, Jarett Graham!

Jarett is recognized for his outstanding academic achievement, leadership, athletic success, and service. A senior wrestler and team captain, he earned All-Academic District and State Wrestling honors while maintaining a nearly perfect GPA. He was also named the UMHS Student Athlete of the Month in November 2025.

Beyond the wrestling mat, Jarett is a Unified Athlete who volunteers at school events, including Back to School Night and Freshman Orientation. He also gives back to the community as a volunteer coach for the Upper Moreland Youth Wrestling Club and Tankzilla Wrestling Club, mentoring young athletes, and as a counselor at Camp Cranium, supporting children with traumatic brain injuries.

Jarett plans to study Physical Therapy in college and has been accepted to several universities as he prepares for the next chapter.
