As summer winds down and we ease into fall, join us for a couple of relaxed evenings at the park.

Admission is free, and the Willow Springs Lions Club will have hot dogs and popcorn available while supplies last.

What a great day at the Fishing Derby!

Seeing all the smiles, excitement and families enjoying the day together was the best part. We’re so glad we could help create a few special memories that the kids will carry with them for years to come.

The Willow Springs Children’s Fishing Derby is almost here! Bring the kids this Saturday, August 29th, from 10 AM – 12 PM at Healing Waters Pond for a morning of fishing, prizes, awards, and family fun.

With students back in school, here are a few important safety reminders for families, drivers and students:

• Slow down and stay alert in school zones and near crosswalks.
• Stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
• Put phones away while driving or walking.
• Create a clear pickup and drop-off plan so children know who is picking them up and where to meet.
• Talk with children about online safety and stay aware of the apps and devices they use.

From Willow Fest and concerts to community gatherings, family activities and everything in between, our summer calendar was full of opportunities to get out, connect with neighbors and enjoy all that Willow Springs has to offer.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make these events possible and to everyone who came out, participated and made them so special. We’re grateful to have such an engaged and welcoming community.

And now, as students head back to the classroom, we’re wishing all of our teachers and families a safe, successful and wonderful school year ahead!

The Fishing Derby is next Saturday, August 29th.

Bring the kids out to Healing Waters Pond from 10 AM – 12 PM for a fun morning of fishing, prizes, and a complimentary lunch provided by the Willow Springs Lions Club.

This free event is open to all, and pre-registration is encouraged by calling the Village Hall at (708) 467-3700.

Gather the family, grab your fishing gear, and join us at the pond!

Four days of live music, carnival rides, great food, community fun and plenty of memories made right here in Willow Springs.

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated with us despite the less-than-ideal weather. To our residents, visitors, performers, vendors, volunteers, sponsors and everyone who helped make Willow Fest happen, we appreciate you!

From the first rides and musical performances to Sunday’s festivities and the fireworks that brought the weekend to a close, it was a great few days in Willow Springs.

We’re already looking forward to next year!
