We had an excellent opportunity to train on water rescue, rope rescue, and vehicle rescue operations at the canal with our rescue partners across the county.
A big thank you to L&T Towing for helping us safely pull a car out of the canal and for being such a great partner in today’s training. Your support helped keep everyone safe while giving us realistic, hands-on experience.
With summer approaching and more people out on the water, this type of training is so important. We’re staying sharp and ready to serve our community when it matters most.

Last night, Kanawha Fire responded to a 911 call regarding a vehicle crash. Upon dispatch, it was reported that patients were trapped inside the vehicle, which was on fire.
Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire. The patients had already been safely evacuated from the vehicle and sustained no injuries. Tow trucks were requested to the scene for vehicle recovery.

🔥Kanawha Fire Volunteers are currently assisting Orland Fire with a working structure fire in the area of 1020 Railroad Ave.

All Glenn County Fire agencies have been dispatched and the scene is still very active. Please avoid the area.

This past weekend, at Lamb Derby, we revived a tradition that hasn't been seen in over a decade: The Muster. A multi-event competition between fire departments that's involves plenty of skill, gallons of water, and relentless teasing. All in the name of good fun of course, because ohh boy did we have fun!

We were incredibly privileged to have Artois Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Willows Fire Department join us for this Muster, and to say we had a blast would be an understatement. This may have been a competition, but the laughter, fist bumps, cheers, jeers, and camaraderie were far more important. Building friendships before the tones drop ensures everyone works together as a team when it comes time to serve our communities.

Now that the sentimental stuff is out of the way, let's get to the winners:
