About two-thirds of firefighters in the U.S. are volunteers, and nearly 70% of fire departments rely on volunteers to serve their communities.

The Tanner Williams Fire Department is looking for volunteers.

We’re not only looking for traditional firefighters — there are many ways to help support the department.

We’re wrapping up this year’s Tanner Williams Toy Drive and are so thankful for the support we’ve received from our community. We will be accepting physical donations through Thursday, 12/18.

Any monetary donations received after all items have been purchased will be carried over to next year’s toy drive to help even more families.

Physical donations:
Please drop off new, unwrapped toys or new or gently used books at Dollar General at Wilmer & Tanner Williams.

Monetary donations:
Donations may be made by cash, check, Venmo, or Cash App.

🎄 It’s that time of year again — the Tanner Williams Toy Drive is here! 🎁

Our fire department and local businesses in our community are working to make sure every child in our community has a Merry Christmas, and we truly can’t do it without the support of the wonderful people who call Tanner Williams home.

If you feel led to give this season, we have several easy ways to donate — Cash App, Venmo, cash, or check — all listed on the flyer below. Every little bit helps us bring joy to local families and make Christmas morning a little brighter. ❤️

🚨🚨🚨 ATTENTION 🚨🚨🚨
Our Number one priority is to keep our community safe 🚒! ADEM has issued their annual burn ban for several Southern Counties in Alabama including us, Mobile County. The Burn ban is in effect from May 1st- October 31st! If there is ever any questions about a burn ban, please reach out and we will try to help answer any questions!
