‼️‼️‼️
911 phone services are currently down across the state. Please be attentive for updates from our friends at ACES as they work to resolve the issue. And please do not call 911 to “test” it. Reserve 911 for actual emergencies and if you cannot get through via 911 use the non-emergency line provided. We will update as more information is passed along. Thanks!

Good afternoon folks! It’s been quite a while since we have last posted but we have some urgent news!
We were contacted earlier today that a jolly man in a red suit would be visiting town.
Tonight at 6pm, Santa Claus will be stopping by the park in front of the westinghouseartspa for our light up night!
Keep your eyes open and listen for the fire trucks starting around 5:30p as Santa will be making a trip around town before his stop at the park.
We hope to see you there!

Good afternoon! First and foremost we’d like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July!

Today crews from WVFD attended the annual 4th of July parade in Monroeville. Crews spent yesterday evening washing and preparing the engines for today’s event. We’d like to thank our friends of the various Monroeville fire departments for the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful community event.

As some of you may know, we have had a very busy end to the month of June. Keep your eyes out for a post addressing the incidents of last month. Again we wish everyone a wonderful Independence Day and for everyone to celebrate responsibly!

We’d like to offer great thanks to the Matesic family for dropping off some delicious cookies to members at our station today! These cookies were gifted to us as part of the 2nd Annual Mark Matesic Memorial Foundation Cookie Drive.

Mark Matesic was an active firefighter with our friends at Pitcairn Hose Company #1 and UNITY VFD before he left us too soon. Mark was beloved by many and will not only be remembered by his great dedication and loyalty to his fire departments he was a member with but also to every community he helped serve over the years.

A little to a recent fire in East McKeesport. On April 10th, the Engine Company was alerted for a possible commercial building fire. Engine 306-1 and 306 squad responded along with other mutual aid agencies to find a working fire. Engine 306-1 was tasked with water supply, suppression, search and overhaul operations.
Companies worked hard to bring the fire under control and as a result, the business was able to salvage much of their belongings.
