The fire department is aware of the continuing smoke condition at 333 Andover Street and the surrounding areas. There is no active threat of fire to the area and we are actively monitoring and working on a plan to mitigate the issue. We hope to have an update for the community soon. We appreciate your patience.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Zena, the Wilmington, Massachusetts Police Department comfort dog. She served the Town for three years and made an impact on so many. She will be missed.

Since the afternoon of Sgt Taylor's unfortunate accident, Wilmington Public Safety Dispatch has been supporting their colleagues in Billerica. We are very proud of the commitment these two especially have made to ensure that Billerica Dispatchers have been able to mourn the loss of Sgt Taylor.

Wilmington and surrounding communities have stepped up to assist Billerica Police | MA PD as they deal with the loss of Sergeant Ian Taylor. Since Friday afternoon, Wilmington officers have been patrolling the Town of Billerica and answering calls for service. In addition, members of Wilmington Public Safety Dispatch have provided much needed relief to Billerica Police Dispatch. Tonight Dispatch Supervisor Corey Swift and Dispatcher Jill Regan were answering both emergency and non-emergency calls for service while members of the Billerica Police Department were attending a vigil for Sergeant Taylor.

The members of the Wilmington Fire Department regret to announce the passing of Lieutenant Gary Robichaud (Ret.). Lt. Robichaud retired from the Department in 2014 after 30 years of service. There will be services in the local area soon. We will update as we get more information. Please keep Lt. Robichaud and his family in your thoughts during this time.
