Delcastle offers a variety of educational experiences for students integrating academic NCCVT School District delivers world-class Career and Technical programs combined with rigorous academic curricula to equip students with the 21st-century skills that will best serve the State of Delaware, and the global community. For over fifty years Delcastle has been building the state and global Workforce.
Over 80% of our graduates each year continued their learning by attending some form of post-secondary education with more than a third of their education related to their chosen career at Delcastle. With twenty-three career area programs, Delcastle provides the largest number of career area offerings in the state. Each career area competes in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) such as Business Professionals of America (BPA), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and Skills USA. In addition to obtaining awards at the national level in CTSO competitions, our students and staff efforts have led to multiple awards and recognition which include, but not limited to:
- Superstars in Education Award
- Excellence in Leadership Award
- U.S. News and World Report Bronze Medal School
- First school in Delaware to speak with the International Space Station
Each day our goal is to create an environment that honors, inspires, and celebrates every unique individual member of the Delcastle community and the multifaceted experiences they bring to school each day. This will be achieved through a focus on Cultural Competency, Culturally Responsive Instruction, and the Empowering of Student Voice. Our efforts embrace inclusion and our diversity will lead to social/emotional and academic/career excellence.
