✨🎶 Dolly Parton Day at Porters Neck Elementary! 🎶✨

Today, our students and staff celebrated all things Dolly Parton! 💕 From cowboy boots and big hair to plenty of sparkle and a few Dolly-inspired looks, our Pelicans definitely understood the assignment! 🤠✨

But the fun didn’t stop at dressing up! 📚 Several classrooms spent time reading books and passages about Dolly’s life, her incredible career, and her heart for children and literacy through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library—her program that provides free books to children.

There was A LOT of reading happening around PNES today, and we loved seeing our students learn about a woman who has used her success to make such a positive difference in the lives of children. 💗📖

Big hair, big dreams, big hearts, and LOTS of books! 🎶

Next week on TUESDAY, September 1st, Porters Neck is celebrating Dolly Parton and her legacy by having a tribute day for her. In celebration of this, your child can bring their favorite book and dress up in cowboy boots or sparkles 🙂

🏈📣 COASTAL COWBOYS TAKE OVER PNES! 📣🏈

We have a LOT of football players and cheerleaders at Porters Neck Elementary—and we couldn’t resist getting them all together for a picture! 💙🤍

These kiddos are spending their weekends representing the Coastal Cowboys Football & Cheerleading organization, and we are SO proud to cheer them on from the sidelines (and the classroom)! 🏈📣

One of our 6U cheerleaders was missing from today’s photo while she recovers from an injury, but she is absolutely part of the team and part of our PNES crew! 💕 We’re sending her lots of good wishes for a speedy recovery!

And now… IT’S GAME WEEKEND! 🔥

Good luck to all of our Cowboys and cheerleaders! Play hard, cheer loud, have fun, and show them what our Pelicans are all about! 🏈📣💙

🎉 What an AMAZING First Day at Porters Neck Elementary! 🎉
Our halls were filled with smiles, excitement, laughter, and lots of learning as we welcomed our students back for another fantastic school year! From kindergarten adventures to reunions with friends and teachers, today was full of special moments that made our school shine.
We are so proud of our students for starting the year with courage, kindness, and enthusiasm. Thank you to our families for partnering with us and helping make the first day a success!
