North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul Newby has proclaimed May 2026 as Recovery Court Month for the state.

This recognizes the impact of more than 80 recovery courts across the state and the professionals who make this work possible every day. For more than 30 years, these programs have helped participants rebuild their lives, while also strengthening communities.
