The NCWorks Mobile Career Center will be in Wilmington on Friday, July 24, for the Veterans Stand Down hosted by Cape Fear Workforce Development Board. The event is to be held from 10 AM – 2 PM at the Starbase facility (formerly the National Guard Armory), 2221 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC.

Veterans who attend can meet with NCWorks staff to explore job opportunities, get help with their job search, and learn about workforce programs and services. The event will also feature a variety of community resources, including housing assistance, medical support, VA benefits, mental health services, and more.

We are grateful to partner with organizations across North Carolina to help connect veterans with the resources and support they need.

The NCWorks Commission is now accepting applications from eligible training providers seeking approval to participate in the new Workforce Pell grant program.

Workforce Pell expands access to federal financial aid for students enrolled in approved short-term workforce training programs, helping more North Carolinians gain skills for high-demand careers.
