🛑BURN BAN IN EFFECT AT NOON MONDAY, MAY 24🛑
Burn ban issued for 26 North Carolina counties due to hazardous forest fire conditions

Due to increased fire risk, the N.C. Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning and has canceled all burning permits for the following North Carolina counties: Anson, Beaufort, Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Duplin, Greene, Harnett, Hoke, Jones, Lee, Lenoir, Moore, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, Pitt, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland and Wayne.

The burning ban goes into effect at noon Monday, May 24, and will remain in effect until further notice.

Two E7 guys manning E15 putting in a little work today. Thankfully the driver wasn’t injured. The majority of the packages were saved due the quick thinking of the driver and a fast knockdown by E15.

The Wilmington Fire Department is now accepting applications for the 2020 Fall Citizens Fire Academy. This FREE 8-week course meets every Thursday evening, from 6-9 pm. SPACE IS LIMITED!! Must be 18 y/o.

Truck 7 A shift went out to CFCC training center to assist captain T. Hughes with teaching ladders to recruit class 2020.

An organized hose bed pays out cleanly and quickly. This is an adaption of a “Seattle” hose load that allows the driver to see how many feet of hose is laid out so they can set the correct pump pressure with a quick glance. The last photo is 200’ of 2.5” packed in a Minute man for easy deployment from a rear discharge.
